How to perform an MTR test on a Windows

MTR is a traceroute tool that tests the network connections or path between your physical location and your hosting server. If you are using windows, please visit this site to download and install WinMTR here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/

Once installed, start WinMTR.

  1. In the Host field, enter the domain name or IP address that you want to trace and push the start button,
  2. Let it run for 30 seconds or more then hit the stop button,
  3. Copy or export the result in text or HTML format and send it to us via email so we can analyze it for you along with your WAN (ISP) IP address (which you can find by going to the website http://www.pingmedown.com)
