A full cPanel backup makes a copy of all of your files, email, databases, etc. Once initiated, you must allow the backup time to perform. The server can send you an email to an address you specify once the backup is ready to download. The steps for generating, downloading and restoring a full backup are explained in detail below.
How to Download the Full Backup
1. Login to cPanel,
2. Click on the Backups icon,
3. Click Generate/Download a Full Website Backup.
(You may save to your preferred local folder each backup by clicking the link for the backup you wanted to download.)
You may also use the restore function to restore full backup, mysql database, email forwarders and filters. Make sure that you understand what you are doing and that you have multiple backup recovery options as restoring a backup will overwrite any existing file!
